Tuesday, June, 29, 2021 English Language Challenges 📔 Hello, today I am going to tell you about my experience learning English. Before entering the university, we had to take a test to measure our level in English. Due to my results I have taken this subject for two semesters and according to my program of study I have one semester left to finish. My experience learning English at the university has been good, although sometimes it is difficult for me to understand certain content, I try to improve little by little. It is worth mentioning that in the two semesters I have had different English teachers, however, the evaluation through writing a blog and sending recordings are common points. Regarding the blogs, I can say that I find them entertaining, they were a totally new experience, since I had never read a blog before. Regarding the videos, I can say that I find them curious, because when I listen to myself speaking in another language I feel as if I were another person.   Althoug

Monday, June, 21, 2021 Changes to my study programme 📓📑 In general, I think the curriculum is quite complete, as it covers different areas of psychology. In addition, it is well cohesive with each other, as the first year courses lay the groundwork for second year courses. However, I feel that courses in professional ethics and basic health care should be included. The latter could be useful in the case of having one's own practice (away from a hospital center) and a patient suffers, for example, a serious seizure. I feel that these situations are taken as common knowledge, but we should qualify with a previous base.   Regarding the workload, I can say that in some subjects it is very high, as we have to watch recorded capsules and attend live classes. Also, I believe that the duration of the studies is adequate, as it abounds in several areas of psychology.  As for the facilities of the faculty, I can't say much, since I only went once😢. Regarding the use of technology, I

Monday, June, 14, 2021 Postgraduate Studies  📚📋 Hello, today I am going to talk about the postgraduate program I will study in the future.  I am a psychology student, and after finishing my undergraduate degree I will study a master's degree in Psychology, with the mention of Clinical Psychology in Child and Adolescent. I am interested in this area because it is part of my dream to work with children and adolescents in the clinical area of my career and this master's degree would allow me to do so. On the one hand, I am interested in research on normal psychological development and in general in all lines of research in the field of child and adolescent clinical psychology. On the other hand, I think it is important to have a good psychological development when we are young, so we can grow up as healthy adults and with the necessary psychological tools to face adult life, we will not carry problems from our childhood. I would like to study topics related to research methodolo

Monday, May, 24, 2021 My Future Job 💼📋 Because of the reason I decided to study psychology, I have always imagined working with children who have been victims of sexual abuse. Honestly, I imagine it must be shocking to work on it, but I feel that this is the contribution I want to make in my discipline. Because, it relates to the clinical area of psychology, it will be an inside job. Initially I imagine working in a hospital and then having my own practice. I would like this to be cozy and comfortable for children, with pictures and interactive material. Therefore, I want to settle down in my country with a consultation of my own, but before that I would love to volunteer abroad. In this way, having my consultation I do not think travel much, but I would like to do it if I get the job opportunity. In my work I would like to earn enough money to cover my social expenses, have a home and if I can save up to travel. I’m actually more excited about being able to help than money, I th

Monday, May, 10, 2021 What 's like to study Psychology 📚💻 I study Psychology at the University of Chile in the Faculty of Social Sciences. I choose this career by seeing different situations in my environment in relation to mental health and the debt that exists with it. Among these, I remember that the one that most impacted me was the conversation I had with a mother whose son had suffered a terrible sexual abuse. Consequently, the child was not received in the center Anides, then he was not having any kind of psychological help, I think this situation is a violation of human rights, so I believe in this debt with mental health, because there are many people who need psychological help and if you deny them. I thought that by becoming a psychologist, I could deliver tools for infants who have been victims of sexual abuse. My classes have been online. Honestly, classes in this way have been difficult for me because I miss interacting with other people, I feel that the academic

Monday, April, 26, 2021 Mental health Problems related to a lockdown 🏡💻 In general, all people separated from their loved ones, along with the stress of confinement and adapting to an online life. There are also unemployed people and people who lost their loved ones. Personally, I have anxiety and depression years ago, it helped me a lot to walk and now I avoid it because my grandmother and mother are chronic patients.  To cope I try to embroider and learn how to cook new recipes, I started to attend the psychologist too. However, with college stuff, sometimes I just focus on it and put aside mental health care. I feel like the pandemic affected us a lot in our lives, it’s all so uncertain, at times you think it’s going to get better, but there are days when you just think we’ll last for years like this. In addition, last year in October anxiety rates doubled, now they must have increased more. When the pandemic is over, I’d like to see my friends, since I haven’t seen them sin

Monday, April, 19, 2021 The best holidays ever 🗻 My best holiday was in 2016. I went to Argentina, specifically to its capital Buenos Aires, along with my mother and grandmother, we were here for 15 days. In Argentina, we did a lot of things, we toured museums, we went to Obelisco, we visited Jardín Japonés, we walked along Puente de la Mujer in Puerto Madero, we ate and even learned to dance a little tango, because at night there were many dance shows and dancers invited you to dance. The place that I will never forget is Ateneo, this was a library that was installed where before there was a theater called "grand splendid". So I kept the architectural structure of the theater, for me it was beautiful, because I love books and plays. This was my best holiday for many reasons. First of all, it’s the longest holiday I’ve ever had. Secondly, I had never been to another country or got on a plane, and my grandmother and my mom made us laugh a lot. All these new experiences and le
